Hello!
I’ve been working on Megaloot for a while now, and there were so many challenges and hurdles that came in the way of development.
While the game is nowhere near a v1.0 I would like to talk about where we began and how it’s going these days, I got the idea of Megaloot only recently while experimenting with different play styles and mechanics for the game, we went from a Monopoly Board, to a Dungeon System, a Dice and many more versions that were scrapped, the hardest part for me was to settle on a name for the game, it started like this:
dicelike -> divine+ -> item crawler -> megaloot: evolution -> megaloot
i experimented with the concept quite a bit and i feel like i finally settled on something i feel confident about and can expand the game from there but here's various Key Art variations I made over the period of development:
Until I eventually settled on this one for now:
But now I feel like things are going the right path, and that the game core idea has been settled, I’m actively working on items, balance, and progression.
